TJ (Tushant Jha)
TJ is an Affiliated Researcher at the Mimir Center, focusing on AI strategy and philosophical foundations of AI. Previously, they were a Research Scholar at the Future of Humanity Institute where they worked on differential selection pressures that shape artificial agency, and have an academic background in computational economics and complex systems.
They are currently focusing on Capabilities Theory of Welfare as foundations for normativity in artificial systems, and the strategic landscape of AI as means of human agency enhancement at individual and collective scales. They are also currently working on a monograph surveying the evolutionary foundations of instrumental and epistemic rationality, and its application to the problem of paradigm choice in machine learning.
